DEScycle

Pioneering Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) to rewrite the economics of metal recovery from e-waste.

DEScycle (Argo Natural Resources Ltd) is the Project Coordinator for RETURN. DEScycle is leading the group with a vision to transform the global metals industry. DEScycle is building the next generation of metals processing infrastructure for a world facing accelerating demand for critical materials, using a distributed, modular platform to turn domestic waste streams into sovereign metal supply.

DEScycle introduces a fundamentally different approach to incumbent processes. Using its proprietary ionometallurgy platform, DEScycle replaces centralised smelting infrastructure with distributed, modular metals processing systems that can be deployed wherever materials are generated. By moving processing upstream and closer to feedstock sources, DEScycle shortens value chains, lowers capital intensity and enables rapid deployment with fast returns on investment.

For the RETURN project, DEScycle is responsible for the design, construction, and optimization of the pre-commercial demonstration facility. This facility will demonstrate the technical and commercial viability of DEScycle’s technology through the processing o f printed circuit boards within electronic waste/WEEE feedstocks from a variety of sources and partners.
